What is Computer Engineering?
Computer Engineering is discipline of applied science that creates the foundation of information technology, a dominant field in current technological revolution.  Computer engineering involves different areas like Application and Software Development, Information System Design, Digital system Design, Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Computer Networking and System automation etc. and prepares students to meet changing demand of national and international organization and research institutes using above mentioned fields.

In Advanced College of Engineering and Management, we provide a brilliant academic ambient with well qualified and competent, lecturers, resourceful practical classes, state-of-art infrastructure. In acem, we make sure that practical and theoretical classes are well balanced such that students become able to perceive the knowledge in the best way. We also provide market relevant trainings in recent computer technologies and prepare students to compete well in local and international organization.

Our Lecturers are skilled, proficient and excellent academically as well as practically. We conduct classes regularly, not letting external factors affect our academics. Our students are given proper theoretical concept and are asked to complete their assignments which will help them improve their concept and understanding. We also have system to take their tests on regular basis, to help students maintain good academics.

Well Equipped Labs and Practical Classes
In Computer Department, We have 7 computer labs each with 24 numbers of computers. We ensure that we conduct practical lab of every practical. We try our best to provide practical knowledge alongside the theoretical lectures. Classes and practical are taken in parallel. Our computers in lab are equipped with latest software such as MATLAB, R Studio, Anaconda, Xilinx, Jupyter Notebook, Code Blocks, RedHat , StarUML, Firebase, Eclipse, virtualization environment  and so on. We monitor our labs in regular basis and make sure that every computer, software runs properly such that students will not need to face any problem during lab periods.

Outstanding Atmosphere for Projects and Extracurricular Activities 
As per the computer engineering curriculum, students are involved in minor projects and major projects in 3rd year and 4th year respectively. Apart from those assigned projects, our computer engineering students are occupied with numerous project activities with the involvement in Advanced Robotic Club (ARC) and Project Association of Computer and Electronics (PACE). They have successfully conducted different series of Tech Bihani and Srijana- The Innovation. Our students have participated and won different awards in robotics competition, software and hardware design competition, drone competition, hackathon.

Career Prospects
Computer engineering graduates can work in different profession such as Software Engineer, Network Engineer, Database Administrator, System Analyst, Quality Assurance Engineer, Web Developer, Technical Manager, Project Leader, Principal Engineer etc. Some of our graduates are running their own ICT companies creating job opportunities within nation. Our alumni are also working in abroad in different tech companies like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Samsung, QUALCOMM and many mores. Some of our past graduates are working in local IT companies like Leapfrog, Logpoint, Verisk, F1soft and some commercial banks as well. For further study options, graduates can go abroad to study master in computer engineering/science related specializations. Some of our graduates are also studying master program within Nepal in various institutes like Pokhara University, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University etc.

Project Association for Computer and Electronics(PACE)
PACE is technical club of ACEM for Computer and Electronics Engineering faculty students. PACE works for betterment of students by focusing on practical implementation of topics not included in course. PACE conducts number of workshops and trainings on different programming languages or hardware training. PACE has been actively working in organizing technical events and workshops for students within and outside college. It provides students a platform to come up with innovative ideas and implement their ideas as projects. This enables students to gain more expertise in their respected field.
