A huge Congratulations to Mr. Kobid Upadhyay for successfully securing the position in one of the most prestigious Hult Prize Competition, 2022. Along with 2 other fellow engineering students, Mr. Upadhyay has won the Hult Prize Regionals-Kathmandu Summit with their start-up project called MeasureMe.
The team consists of three engineering students from Nepal, Mr. Kobid Upadhyay, a 3rd Year student of Computer Engineering from Advanced College of Engineering and Management (acem). Ms. Garima Acharya and Mr. Pramish Paudel are respective students of Civil Engineering and Computer Engineering, from Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering.
Henceforth, now they are selected to be the part of Accelerator Phase happening in Boston, United States from July 25th - August 12th. Their project idea has risen above 10,000 other ideas from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Nepal at the regionals; the primary objective of their start-up is to enhance people's lives through 3D mobile body scanning technology. As a result, they are among the top 16 teams that are selected worldwide for the competition. The winning startup will get a funding amount of $1M.
The entire acem family wishes a very ‘good luck’ to Mr. Upadhaya and the team to achieve the desired success in the upcoming competition in the United States.
MeasureMe. AI is a 3D body scanning technology that uses a mobile depth sensor to scan the body, monitor bodily changes, and evaluate health risks using machine learning.
It is currently on a mission to democratize the use of body scanning tools as the currently available body scanning tools are bulky, less affordable, and less accessible. Using MeasureMe, it’s possible to measure and analyze anthropometric changes in the body, evaluate the growth rate of the whole body and its various parts, and analyze whether it’s normal or abnormal. Additionally, it suggests precautions to be taken as per the results.
