Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) successfully organized an insightful IEEE Membership session, reinforcing the importance of professional engagement in engineering education on Magh 21, 2082.
The session was led by Prof. Dr. Arun Kumar Timalsina, Professor at IOE, Pulchowk Campus and Chair of IEEE Nepal Section, who provided comprehensive guidance on the process of obtaining IEEE membership and highlighted its significant benefits for both students and faculty members.
The program was attended by 3rd and 4th year students of Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Communication and Information Engineering, and Electrical Engineering, along with faculty members from the respective departments.
The discussion focused on how professional memberships contribute to academic excellence, research exposure, global networking, leadership development, and long-term career growth.
Student representatives from Pulchowk and Thapathali Campuses also shared their practical experiences, where IEEE Student Branches are actively functioning. Participants gained valuable understanding about the advantages of having an IEEE Student Branch within an institution, along with the necessary steps and requirements to establish one.
