Presentation session with Dr. Bandita Mainali and Mr. Alkayet Hossein

February 8, 2024: A presentation session with Dr. Bandita Mainali (Lecturer, Civil Engineering Department, PhD. Civil/Environmental Engineering) and Mr. Alkayet Hossain (senior Country Manager of South Asia and Middle East Future Students l) from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, was organized by the Research and Innovation Unit (RIU) of Advanced College of Engineering and Management, ACEM. This program was extensively supported by the Department of Civil Engineering as well as various clubs of ACEM, namely CESS (Civil Engineering Students Society), PACE (Project Association for Computer and Electronics), and ARC (Advanced Robotics Club).

This productive session was entitled ‘Navigating the Research Landscape: A Guide to Designing Research Projects and Conducting Literature Reviews in Engineering Research Projects’, where Dr. Mainali presented enriching as well as illuminating ideas on research, from its preliminary steps like ‘what research is’, ‘how to get started’ to ‘how to conduct thorough research while notifying the do's and don'ts of the research’. 

In the session, Mr. Hossain briefed about the astounding facilities and scholarships for students aspiring to do their Masters' at Macquarie University.
