Protobytes Hackathon 2.0 at ACEM

Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) successfully inaugurated Protobytes Hackathon 2.0 on February 12, 2026, at the Conference Hall of ACEM. Organized by PACE – Project Association for Computer and Electronics, one the active clubs of ACEM, the event brought together enthusiastic students, innovators, mentors, and industry experts to collaborate, create, and develop innovative technological solutions.

The opening ceremony was graced by the Honorable Chief Guest, Mr. Dilli Ram Adhikari, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operations Officer of Nepal Telecom. In his inspiring address, he highlighted the importance of innovation, sustainability, and the transformative role of technology in nation-building. His remarks encouraged students to think creatively and utilize technology to address real-world challenges.

The program was chaired by Mr. Ramesh Kumar Silwal, Chairman of ACEM, who delivered the welcome remarks and emphasized the institution’s commitment to promoting research, innovation, and industry collaboration among students. The ceremony also included remarks from Er. Roshani Ghimire, Head of Department, who encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity to learn, experiment, and showcase their technical capabilities. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Prof. Durga Prasad Sangroula, Principal of ACEM, acknowledging the contributions of guests, organizers, and participants.

Held from February 12–13, 2026, Protobytes Hackathon 2.0 served as a dynamic platform for students to apply their technical knowledge, collaborate in teams, and develop creative solutions within a limited timeframe. Participants demonstrated impressive creativity, problem-solving ability, and dedication throughout the event.

The hackathon was supported by dedicated mentors and esteemed judges who provided valuable guidance and evaluated the innovative ideas presented by the participants. Their expertise and thoughtful feedback played a crucial role in making the event both educational and inspiring.

The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where outstanding teams were recognized and honored for their creativity, innovation, and technical excellence. Protobytes Hackathon 2.0 marks another milestone in ACEM’s continuous efforts to nurture young innovators, encourage practical learning, and strengthen Nepal’s growing technology ecosystem.
