The Research and Innovation Unit (RIU) of Advanced College of Engineering and Management (ACEM) successfully conducted the third session of its Web Development Workshop on Jestha 22, 2083 (June 5, 2026).
The session focused on introducing students to Git and GitHub, two essential tools widely used in modern software development for version control and collaborative programming. Participants gained a foundational understanding of how version control systems help developers track changes, manage project histories, and work efficiently within teams.
Students were introduced to key Git concepts, including repositories, commits, branches, and collaborative workflows. They also learned how GitHub serves as a platform for hosting, sharing, and managing software projects, enabling seamless collaboration among developers.
Through practical demonstrations and hands-on exercises, participants explored real-world development practices and gained valuable experience using industry-standard tools. The session emphasized the importance of version control in developing reliable, maintainable, and scalable software applications.
The Web Development Workshop continues to provide students with practical technical skills, helping bridge the gap between academic learning and professional software engineering practices.
